Trixies drag is individual and creative which is always going to be polarising, you either get it or you don’t, trixie knows that and enjoys it. She doesn’t read literally anything people say online, post as3 when she was asked about the whole “shangela was robbed” thing she literally didn’t know until the interviewers asked her about it. She’s way too busy being successful to give a shit. And when it does get back to her she’s always got a great sense of humour about it, James Charles ripped off unhhh so she ripped off his merch, she used dead pig under a mattress as an unhhh intro, she got weird questions about being native so she wore that headdress look (those could be entirely unrelated, but among other things the “are you gonna incorporate being native into your drag?” or whatever it was on wv was so weird like the asker was expecting her to be a stereotype or something then she did a look making fun of the stereotypes people have about native Americans).

The fact that she’s so popular makes her an easy target, people like to think they’re the smartest person ever and all their opinions are objective fact so if they don’t like something it’s intrinsically awful. They’re wrong and stupid and immature of course, but they’re very loud. Genuinely objectively? She’s so incredibly talented, she’s an amazing singer, plays 3 instruments, acts, tap dances, sews, she’s good at branding and merchandising, she’s so smart. She’s a kind and genuine person who is so supportive and anyone would be so blessed to have a friend like her, she’s respectful and caring and understanding and loves seeing her friends happy (and that’s just what we know from unhhh and a collection of Interviews). Comedy is objective of course but the consecutive sold out tours would suggest she has an audience for her humour.

The things people point to as reasons to hate her are usually complete nonsense like “she’s rude to her fans and local queens” because she wasn’t in the mood for photos or being pulled on stage out of drag at 3 am that one time when genuinely she’s the sweetest softest person with her fans at meet and greets and reminds people a lot to support local queens and that living dragrace isn’t the same as loving drag, it’s so entitled and disrespectful and unrealistic to expect her to be a turned on entertainer at the drop of a hat 24/7. Or they’re upset because “she’s undeserving of her win” which again bullshit because she did incredible in every challenge but snatch game (I could literally post 2000 words on this alone).

TLDR: trixie is insanely talented but boring weirdos like to feel edgy by hating popular things.
